Seems like every post I post nowadays is a few days late. I shall get better. I promise.
Anyways, Wednesday was the start of Lent.
So from now until Easter, you're supposed to give something up to prepare your heart for Easter. No, it's not supposed to be some spiritual epiphany. We all just need that time to get our feet back on the ground sometimes.
So for Lent this year, I'm fasting from sleeping. Well, in the mornings I'm fasting from sleeping in, and at night I'm fasting from not sleeping. Kinda confusing, I know.
Here's the point: I'm sleeping early-ish (it's more like on time), so that I can actually wake up in the morning to do my devotions and not rush.
I'll admit I haven't been the best at reading my Bible everyday or at getting enough sleep so I'm healthy, so this is my attempt at breaking the habit of sleeping at 11:30 and waking up just in the knick of time to get to school and a lot of the time totally ignoring my Bible. Hopefully this lasts longer than just the 40 days of Lent. :)
